The
Origins of Mandu
The word “Mandu” is from the language of the Noongar aboriginal people, with their origins in the south-west of Western Australia. It is their word for the Sun (or Sun Mother) .
Today this picturesque corner of Western Australia is also home to the state’s burgeoning wine industry, built on a foundation of quality small-lot producers. The
Mandu Range
The Mandu range is an exciting line-up of premium wines from the renowned wine regions of Western Australia. These are varietal wines made from quality fruit that is sourced from contract growers within specific wine regions (appellations).
Mandu wines are bright, fruit-driven styles with layers of complexity, offering exceptional value for money. The current range includes a Pemberton Chardonnay, Great Southern Shiraz and Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon.
From 2005 vintage onward, the wines have been sealed with screw-cap closure to ensure a reliable product (free of cork taint), every time.
Winemaking
The Mandu range is made under contract by renowned winemakers from the chosen wines regions.
A mix of French and American oak is used in the maturation of these wines to add to the structure and flavor profile. |
