Our philosophy behind Silverwing is to work with winemakers that are known in their region for producing exceptional wines from specific varieties. For this reason, every wine within the range is made by a different winemaker. Screw-cap closures have been chosen over traditional cork for all still wines in the range, to ensure the wines’ bright, fresh flavors are retained (free of cork taint). The convenience of the screw-cap closure is an added bonus! Dragonfly Symbolism The dragonfly featured on the label is particularly appropriate, given that this group of insects is prevalent throughout Australian wine regions. The dragonfly is termed a ‘beneficial insect’ by viticulturalists given the essential, predatory role it performs in the vineyard controlling harmful parasites. |
