Introduction Zeepaard; (Seahorse: a unique and mysterious sea creature).
The Zeepaard range of wines is named after the Dutch ship “Gulden Zeepaard”, the first vessel to sail within sight of the West Australian coastline. It is an exciting new line-up of wines from renowned producer, West Cape Howe, based in the town of Denmark on Western Australia’s rugged, southern coastline. The Wines & Fruit Source
Zeepaard wines are fresh, vibrant, fruit-driven and approachable; truly reflective of the Australian lifestyle. The wines have been sealed with screw-cap closures to ensure a reliable product (free of cork taint), every time.
The major fruit source for Zeepaard wines is the Company’s Landsdale Vineyards, based in the Mt Barker sub-region. Planted in 1989, the vineyards are now some of the oldest in the area. The properties have approximately 80 hectares currently under vine.
Specific parcels of fruit are also sourced from around the state, to complement the specific vintage offering.
